This year there are 8 students in the Lingon group. We start the class by taking attendance and the children get a chance to talk about what happened during the week. Then we go through "Today's Theme", which is based on mixed topics including the colors, shapes, animals, body parts, clothing, weather, days and months. We do activities, read and sing about today's theme.
Every week we talk about a letter from the alphabet and a number. We read a story about the letter and try to find things that start with that letter.
This year we have "BRAVO! Bokstavsbok a-ö" work books, and during each lesson we will review the homework. The children work at home with a parent with the textbooks.
Lingonberries also has shared vocals and playtime with the Hallon group.
Finally, we usually invite a parent. The children gets a chance to share their favorite stories and also bring something to show and tell to the rest of the class. |
